The Department of English aims to engage young minds in creative and analytical thinking through literary studies that can effectively help in building a holistic and healthier human community. This objective is achieved by creating space for students to discuss both local and global writings critically and creatively. In view of this, the texts prescribed in the curriculum are thoughtfully selected and taught through discussion, project work and power point presentations. Departmental seminars help students shed their inhibitions and fears. Students are encouraged to express themselves through various mediums in order to help them to think and speak their hearts and minds. Originality is applauded, new viewpoints are welcomed. The Department moulds today’s students into tomorrow’s responsible citizens.
