The college is situated on the Jharkhand – Bengal border, the establishment of the science faculty with chemistry was most essential for the institution. Science faculty with chemistry was commenced as a course of study in B.S.K College Maithon, Dhanbad in 1975. The chemistry department is well developed, equipped, prosperous and popular department of the college. The chemistry laboratory is systematically arranged with equipment, glassware, and chemicals. The teachers are good hand at teaching. The employee of the department gets on with each other and they have a fellow feeling for all. The students have been pleased and desirous to learn more in the chemistry department. The chemistry department is flourishing by leaps and bounds. In all, the chemistry department has been rendering its services with responsibilities, satisfaction, and dedication.
